Free Rider HD Wiki

Backflips are a fun and challenging way in Free Rider HD to complete a jump. They are useful because often times less-well done jumps are a tad too steep in the launching, and executing a backflip may be the best way to complete it.

Execution of smooth backflips[]

To execute a smooth backflip, tap the lean-back key more than once to spread the backflip throughout the air time so as to make the landing smoothest. Depending on your speed and/or the angle of the jump you may spin faster or slower. During a small jump with more speed you will want to spin faster, but during a big jump you may want to spin slower.

Why are backflips an important aspect of the game?[]

Backflips are one of the many things that determines a player's style. They are also important because they may be a smoother and more graceful way to execute steep jumps (like transversals).

Trivia[]

  • Sometimes when a rider is too fast on a very glitched straight surface, the front wheel will start to stop touching the ground, causing the bike to spin backwards out of control, often leading to the player crashing.
